What Is The Gadgeteers Club?

It is a DIY maker group run by the Duvall Maker Society and hosted by the Art Center. It’s for all ages, fusing art and technology in interesting ways! People learn how to create projects and art with soldering, 3D printing, robotics, electronic engineering, steampunk and more through monthly projects and workshops. Classes are taught by volunteer members of the Duvall Maker Society and hosted at the Northwest Art Center.
Age Range: 5 with adult assistance and participation to 108

GameOn Bellevue – Building the Worlds Largest Simon Game

BIG NWAC NEWS!!! GAME ON Bellevue! Sept 28-29th The Gadgeteers Club leaders have been working away on something BIG! We mean REALLY BIG!!! The worlds largest Simon Game is being constructed, coded, tested, and talked about into the wee hours of the night for a HUGE event sponsored by the City Of Bellevue! NWAC Gadgeteers Club is a sponsor for this HUGE event! Check out the details and let us know if you want to help and participate. We’ll have a team in the competition too, so let the game play strategy and prototype testing assistance begin!

Check back regularly as we post updates and photos on event programming, details, and the construction of the world’s largest game of Simon!

Young Innovators Art Project


Short Project Description: An art technology project exposing 60+ rural King County youth artists ages 8-18 and 30+ adults to new technology and art materials with which to innovate, challenge creative and critical thinking skills and develop pride and confidence by creating art and exhibiting their works in a public art gallery setting.

Each artist is required to combine technology and fine arts in new and innovative ways, examples: a painting or sculpture that lights up or makes sounds when viewer interacts with it, a 3D printed sculpture combined with other 3 dimensional materials, build a robot that draws or paints, include rotary casted pieces in a sculptural piece, etc.

Stay tuned for Young Innovators Art Project schedule to start in late September.

This project is funded by 4Culture Tech Specific Grant.

This is one prototype, but each lamp will be different! Explore the essence of steampunk and build your very own steampunk lamp.
