Our Gadgeteer program has evolved over the years and has always been run by adult volunteers. We have had to scale back due to lack of volunteer time but are thrilled to bring back one of our more popular activities: Take Apart Tech!
Introducing for 2019-2020 our Breakspace Take Apart Tech Sessions!
Breakerspace Take Apart Tuesday Tech
There will be all kinds of things you can take apart from printers, to computers, to blenders and more!
Students will have a chance to truly wonder, ask questions, take risks, and have no fear of doing something wrong!
The Breaker Space is a work station in a makerspace that has “misfit” toys and other broken electronics for students to disassemble and discover with.
Student can use a breaker space to:
- take apart old technology just as a curiosity to see what is inside and discover how it works to repair something broken
- to harvest for parts
- to take apart, remix and reinvent something new
- and then take home your own unique creation.
This is a great event for anyone from ages 8 to 108!
