lauraLaura has over 25 years of professional experience in illustration, graphic design, and computer graphics. She received a master of arts in Computer Graphics and a bachelor of arts in Design Graphics from the New York Institute of Technology. She is the owner of Lake Joy Design and loves designing logos and print media for local businesses. Over the course of her career, Laura has worked as an Art Director, Designer, and Artist on over 20 published multimedia titles, including the award-winning Nancy Drew Mystery Games. She was also a Program Manager for Microsoft Xbox’s Forza Motorsport franchise.

One of her greatest joys has been teaching art for the Riverview School District for the past 6 years. Laura is probably most known by students for her “Imagination Factory” Art Enrichment Program (K-5) and for her Graphic Design program at Tolt Middle School. In the fall of 2012, she joined the staff at Northwest Art Center and has enjoyed teaching  fine art and digital art classes and summer camp programs, as well as volunteering for special community events. Laura is our Digital Art Manager and loves keeping our Digital Arts program running smoothly!  She also is our Birthday Party teacher and coordinator – and loves to facilitate private birthday parties.
