Nadja Wilson is our Executive Director and Digital Arts teacher. In her words “It has been an amazing first year running and growing this small but mighty art school. We successfully started a wine and paint night program and a Gadgeteers style maker space club with the Duvall Makers Society for people of all ages to learn the fusion of art, technology and electrical engineering. I enjoy working with the amazing NWAC staff, volunteers and board members to bring creative and energetic artistic learning opportunities to our community. I can’t wait to see what we do this year!”
Nadja Wilson left her position as Senior Product Feature Lead with Bing one year ago, where she managed the “Bing in the Classroom” project. With more than 19 years of software design experience, Nadja has designed and shipped projects from interactive television applications, children’s interactive story books, and the Windows Media Player, to websites and mobile applications. She has a colorful range of graphic and multi-media design experiences. She alternated between motherhood (where she polished her crisis management skills and perfected the ultimate Tillamook cheddar cheese quesadilla after approximately 4,999 attempts), chicken farming, gardening, and the creative aspects of being a UX designer on various projects where she managed large projects and small teams.
As the mother of two children ages 11 (a NWAC student) and 13 (a true Gadgeteer and Technology guy), she is thrilled to share her passion for technology, design and the arts with the NWAC community.
