Melanie Pollon

Melanie is the NWAC Pottery Manager & Instructor. She began working with clay in 1994 and continues to be fascinated and inspired by its infinite possibilities. Initially, she focused on the pottery wheel but when she began teaching in 2003, she explored the many methods of hand building and sculpting as well. Working with clay is such a tactile medium and Melanie loves sharing the clay experience and magic of the kiln with both children and adults.
Melanie began teaching at the Northwest Art Center in 2004. She also taught clay classes in several arts programs at local schools and in the greater Seattle area. She has a home-based studio, Revel in Clay, where she produces both functional and decorative work. Melanie is also an avid knitter.
