NWAC Cancellation Policies
Why does NWAC need a Cancellation Policy?
As a 501 c3 non-profit organization NWAC has worked hard to keep our classes affordable and available to all. We often operate on a very slim margin which means that a single student cancelling could lead to the cancellation of the class for all of the remaining students.
We also pay processing fees on each order, which go automatically to the companies handling registration and payment processing. The processing fees are always non-refundable to us, no matter what the reason for cancellation.
For Academic Quarter-Long Classes:
We require 2 weeks’ written notice for Cancellation. The remaining prorated amount, less a $20 cancellation processing fee will be refunded for the time still remaining after the 2 week notification has elapsed.
Please be aware, that since our classes run on such small numbers, withdrawing your student can in some cases cause the remaining classes to be cancelled for all students. Please try to finish out the quarter if possible.
For Workshops and One Time Classes:
If you cancel more than 3 days before the start of a class, NWAC will refund your tuition paid, less processing fees (which are non-refundable to us) and the cost of supplies that have already been purchased. If you cancel 3 or fewer days before the start date, refunds are not available, but tickets are transferable to another student.
For cancellations more than 3 days before the start of the class, you may instead receive a NWAC credit for the full price of the class to be applied to any class on a later date. This credit is valid for one year from the original class start and is non-transferrable.
For Summer Camps:
If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the start of summer camp, NWAC will refund your tuition paid, less processing fees (which are non-refundable to us).
If you cancel 2 weeks or less before the start of camp, no refunds are available; but if NWAC is able to fill your child's place in camp, you will receive art center credit. The credit is valid for one year from the original camp start date and is non-transferable.
